Welcome to Programming in JAVA”!

Java Programming course is designed to help learners take their first step towards a career in software or web development using fundamental Java. The online training program will introduce learners to core programming concepts and equip them to write robust codes to solve complex problems. Upon completing the course learners will gain the foundational skills an engineer requires to solve real-world scenarios, from writing algorithms to testing and debugging programs.

You’re learning includes a series of online learning modules. The top most section will be contain News & Announcements, Know your University and Course information and other course flow related info. The 1st to 10th modules will cover the entire syllabus of java from introduction to multi-threading and applet programming. The 11th module serves as a final assessment & Certification of your learning. Throughout the modules there are opportunities for you to test your knowledge and further explore a concept. The modules allow you to learn at your own pace but need to complete the course in a month (31 days). Prospective Learners:

The target group of the programme includes anybody who is interested in a Programming language or want to build a career in Software development.

Outcomes of this Course
  •  Understand fundamentals of programming such as variables, conditional and iterative execution, methods, etc.
  • Understand fundamentals of object-oriented programming in Java, including defining classes, invoking methods, using class libraries, etc.
  • Be aware of the important topics and principles of software development.
  • Have the ability to write a computer program to solve specified problems.
  • Be able to use the Java SDK environment to create, debug and run simple Java programs.

Prerequisites:

In fact, you can directly start learning Java without any prior knowledge of the programming language. But, the syntax in Java is similar to the syntax of the C programming language, therefore, Knowing the C language helps to get hold of Java quickly.  Having introduced to object-oriented principles before starting Java, also helps in the understanding of the language so, having an idea of object-oriented languages such as C++ also helps.

In short, if you know C or C++ it will be a little bit easier to cope with Java technology.
